The First show of the New Year went very well. It was held at RCRA in Newmarket on Jan.2,3. 

The hunters were especially good. Granit, owned by Riverside Farm won two of the three classes over fences with Michael Pegg. Swing Time, with Sam Pegg in the irons, was second in two classes for owner Ken Denouden. Sundance, Ridden by Katie Christie placed third in two classes and fourth in the last. Granit and Swing time are currently for sale.

The Jumpers were also good. Jasco, owned by Shannon Robinson, won a class in the 1.10m division with Sam Pegg riding. The Jumper Medal class went well also with the top tour placing riders trained by Michael. Jessica Baker with I Spy was the winner followed by Monica Healy with Filius, Courtney Rantz with Two Pennies and Shelby Pegg With Tread Softly.

Both days were cold with snow. We would like to thank Jokers Hill Horse shows for providing us with a great opportunity to school some of our horses. A lot of preparation goes into running the winter shows and we would encourage others to attend the shows and take advantage of good courses and jumps at Jokers Hill.
